LIBERIA
Heritage has always been interested and involved in the church in Liberia. Now we have been assigned a specific church in that Country. It is the Gwissken UM church in Grand Gedeh county which appears to be one of the largest counties in Liberia. This country is located on the western coast of Africa on the Atlantic Ocean. Due to a long civil war now over, in many parts of the country there is a lack of running water and electricity. We ask for prayers for the sister church we have been assigned and for the Pastor of this church, Rev. Samson Dartu. Also pray for the new leader of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. She is the first woman to be elected the leader of an African nation. She is a Harvard-educated banker and so, her supporters say she was the perfect person to get the economy of Liberia up and running. Our District raised a total of $25,073.13 for Liberia and it has been sent to the Liberia Annual Conference of Grand Gedeh, Nana Kru and Sinoe districts. time.

NEW MISSION LETTER FROM KRUEGER'S-November 2011

Dear Praying friends,
Thanks again for your continued prayers for us.  We have been extremely busy this past month so please excuse us for not getting out a update sooner.  Let me catch you up on some of the things that have happened since our last update.
The Fula believer's conference went very well and the bit of contention about the program beforehand was cleared up with the two parties during the time there.  It was great to hear the more than 50 believers raise their voices in songs of praise to the King of Kings.  It was also humbling to hear the testimony of some of these ones who have literally lost family relationships, inheritance rights, and forced to flee from their homes.  Pray that they will continue to be strong and shine forth the love of God to those around them.
The outfit items arrived at about that same time and so I have been kept very busy erasing computer programs and reloading them with French programs to be able to sell them in our center.  Also I have had to rebuilt several ones that were missing parts or not working, even this week I was to a local pot maker having him cast moulds of some hinge parts that I needed.  Necessity is the mother of invention and so we have to do some innovative things here when you aren't able to go and find the things you need at an Ace hardware or Best Buy.  Pray for those who purchased these machines that they will watch the Gospel programming and listen to the Oral Bible stories that I put on each of these that I sell.
Dee finished well with the kid's revision clubs.  They all did well and we were so very happy to have our young believer (Ansuman) who came from Conakry to help us.  He did daily Bible stories with them and presented the Gospel in a very clear manner.  It was exciting to hear the kids repeating the Bible verses that they had learned.  Each one received some nice school supplies and small toys because of a church Sunday school project from the Alliance church in Elkhart, Indiana.  Pray that these stories and verses will percolate in their minds and they will desire to follow Jesus.
The last week of September found us in Conakry for some mission team meetings, and seminars.  We enjoyed visiting with some old friends who were there to lead the team building seminars.  It was interesting in our team dynamics to see who were the doers, the thinkers, the people lovers, and the planners.  We as a field are trying to assess how to do our ministries better and what kind of teams we need to be together on.  Pray for us to become more effective in our team efforts.
The second week of October found us in Mamou to assist with a five day eyeglass clinic.  There was a short term team of five from Calgary, Alberta Canada who came and along with our three WAVE interns and the Ibsens (WAVE coordinators) we made up the expatriate team.  Then we had about 10 members of the local Alliance church in Mamou who assisted us.  We were able to see over 430 people in those five days.  We had many come from both the highest positions in society down to the very poor.  All were treated with kindness and compassion of the Lord.  The local pastor headed up the exit table where people were given the chance to be prayed for and to receive literature or cassettes.  The pastor remarked later that he probably prayed with more people in that town in the one week than he had in his past several years of living there.  Pray that those who came will read and listen to what they received and that the church people will continue to have opportunities to speak about the love of Jesus in that town.
During all of this time, our colleagues, J.D. and Emily were welcoming a new WAVE intern to our town by the name of Tim Allen.  He is going to be assisting J.D. in the soccer ministry during this time.  We also were able to obtain a large piece of property for the soccer ministry.  It is located about 3 kms from our houses off of the main road to Pita.  A short term team from Ohio were here and saw the site and will now begin to make plans for coming back and assisting the construction of some of the buildings and the soccer fields.  Praise God for letting us get the land.  Pray for the wise use of project funds to further this ministry.
The soccer team themselves did very well also by winning the regional cup tournament.  It was interesting to note that of the three believers on the team, one did not go along with many of the team in doing some magic rituals to assure success and safety.  Then when the game took place, the other two believers where either injured during the match or got sick following the game.  However the one who stood his ground played the entire game without injury or any sickness following the game.  Pray that these young believers will be challenged to stand up for Jesus no matter what comes.
Dee has begun her English classes again and it seems that there are many less coming this year.  Perhaps because of hard economic times, changing school schedules or something else is why they are not coming.  Pray for Dee to be able to speak through these classes to those who will have hearts open to the moving of the Spirit.
The WAVE couple here (Brian & Abby Lindsay) are facing some decisions about the last eight months of their apprenticeship.  They will need to make a final decision about where to have the birth of their baby in the next week or so.  Pray for them and us as we try to discern God's will for their remaining time with us here in Guinea.  Pray also that they may have many great ministry opportunities here in the next two months.
On a family note, pray for our son Nathaniel as he is in the middle of his officer training program this month with the Air National Guard, pray for him to be a strong witness for the Lord and also for his wife Rachael who is home with their three young children this month.   Pray also for our daughter Ruth as she is seeking the Lord about a career/job change, pray that God will direct her the way that she should go.
Through Christ's Love,
Mark and Dee Krueger

2011 In Retrospect

At the end of the year it's always good to look back. What's happened?Pat and I spent the spring contacting and visiting many wonderful people involved with us in this ministry. God provided the support we needed to continue for another two years in Haiti. Pat started working in the accounting department at World Gospel Mission.
I began once again visiting Haiti regularly in my new position as project director.
In Haiti
Planning and the initial work have been done on a project to renovate the main Radio Lumière recording studios. This project will eventually include the digitalization of the program production and a system of digital storage for the network. Plans are in place and funds in hand for the first phase of a total overhaul of the electrical distribution system for the main studio building. A group of I-TEC engineers are scheduled to arrive January 3rd to do the work.
A new Radio Lumière station is on the air in Jacmel where the network signal reaches the transmitter using a satellite link!
Thanks to a new network provider and a fiber optic line, for the first time Radio Lumière listeners can now really hear the radio on the Internet. (Been hit and miss for years. Now it's always there.)
A new training program has been set in motion with seminars and workshops in various technical areas as well as some leadership training.
WGM is continuing to build houses for the staff as part of the Adopt a Home program. One home is finished and the second well on its way. Money is on hand for several more and 6 or 7 work groups are already lined up for early next year. Also, a new innovative brick making machine has been donated and will arrive in
Haiti
in the spring.
Lots more is happening at Radio Lumière that I don't have time to tell. If you want to know what Radio is really doing and how it's influencing the listeners and the nation of
Haiti, read Director Varnel's news letters! Don't get them? Let me know and I'll be glad to put you on the list.

December 2011 News from ANN
I love celebrating Christmas! I enjoy seeing the decorations, hearing the special music, and wrapping gifts. It’s a true blessing to take the opportunity to remember God’s gift of Jesus to the world. I have been thinking about some of the other gifts God has given us. I am so thankful for the gift of sharing Jesus’ yoke. What a privilege to walk with Him and learn the things He wants to teach me about Himself. My life here in Cusco is filled with many opportunities, challenges, and adventures that give Him plenty of material for teaching! I am also grateful for the gift of His guidance. There are so many people with so many needs, but where does one start in order to help? Recently God gave me, along with my colleagues Cathlene and Esther, the opportunity to spend two Saturday afternoons with six young ladies, ages 12-15. We spent time worshiping and learning what the Bible says about true beauty. It was an exciting time! Their enthusiasm to study God’s Word was encouraging. As a result of these times together, Diana and her mother, Delia, have started attending church. What a joy to be able to encourage them in their search for God.  I went to visit Diana Wong, a lady from the Agape church, hoping to become better acquainted with her and to be an encouragement to her. After listening to her life story and her walk with the Lord, I was the one who was encouraged! She has walked through some very difficult times, but God has been faithful to direct her paths and supply her needs. Diana was injured several months ago in a bus accident and is going through a long recovery. She has trouble walking and is unable to work. She is trusting God to restore her health. In the meantime, she is dedicating herself to prayer. The ladies of our churches have decided to deliver food baskets to four needy families for Christmas. As I listened to the stories of these families, my heart was saddened by their dire situations but, at the same time, thankful for the opportunity to bless them in Jesus’ name. It’s going to be an exciting time on December 23rd when we get to go as a church family and share Jesus’ love in a tangible way. I am so thankful for you! Your partnership in prayer and finances is a gift that blesses me daily. May God’s love envelope you this Christmas season and give you divine opportunities to share His love with others.

Merry Christmas!

Diana Wong and me
Praise the Lord with me for: • The joy of Bible study with the six young ladies. • Diana and Delia’s eagerness to seek God. • The opportunity to share food baskets with the four families in need. Pray with me: • For complete physical healing for Diana Wong. • For Angela, one of the girls who attended the Saturday Bible studies. She deals with many difficult family issues. May God help

KARA CUSIC-Missionary to Siberia

Youth in Buryatia are finding Christ (village church plant) and coming to life where they were once dead and apathetic. I recently read an article published in Ulan Ude that shows teen suicide statistics at number one in the nation for the area around Lake Baikal. The Lake is a huge seat of power for shamanism and they worship a god who killed her son. Russia has been in the #1 position for suicide in the world, so multiplying teen suicide in my area b y 1 and a half again really speaks volumes. The hopes and dreams of a nation lie with it’s youth. Please pray for God to continue to restore life & hope to our students & see these statistics changed for good!

Omaha - I flew home from my mission trip on the 1st at 4:00am (was supposed to be 11:30 pm the previous night but flight delays) on Wednesday morning and arrived back in Omaha the same day because of time changes at 4:45 pm the 30th. Ellen, thankfully, had just arrived after six weeks taking care of her mother in Georgia so we were glad to be together once again! Sorry that we cannot tell you more but the trip was confidential because of security. However it was very successful and many things were accomplished and I will be returning in the near future.
After three weeks of being healthy, I got a gastro/intestinal virus the day after arriving home and Ellen got it a few hours later. I am thankful that I wasn’t sick overseas. Overall it was a blessed time of ministry. My French returned quickly and I really felt God’s presence as I taught each evening and ministered. We have so much to be thankful for as God blessed our partnership in ministry and once again I want to thank each of you who gave and who prayed during this time. God answered our prayers above all that I could imagine or think even preparing things in advance!
Photos
When I arrived overseas I discovered that my camera wasn’t working. But thankfully my host  had his camera and he sent me some of the photos that he took and I am sending some of those along with this letter. I wish I had more time to share with you about the trip, perhaps sometime in the future. Thank you all once again and may God bless you abundantly in the days ahead!

Much love in Christ this Christmas Season,

 December 2011- To the church
Thank You!  That was beautiful.  How was your Christmas day?  Ours was quiet.    We attended church Christmas Eve and then taught Sunday School at one service for 5th and   6th grade.  We celebrated in stages.  Zack is older now, so we slept in a bit.  Aunt Teresa joined us for breakfast and of course let Zack open one pkg.  I got one too.  Zack bough tme, with money he eaned, a new tea kettle. Donna and Robert (Zack's mom and stepdad) came over for supper.  Zack read the story of Christ's birth to us from the book of Luke.  He read it from a 16th Century copy of the King James Version.  The old english is so pretty.  After that we just played games, and watched a movie.  It was nice and relaxing day.

Hope your New Year is truly blessesd.  Love, Judy
